Terms of Service

Temenal is a platform that connects subscribers ("you", "your") with practitioner knowledge through a library of written expert answers, indexed by company and topic. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Temenal platform, website, and services (collectively, "the Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform in any way, you agree to these Terms.

Nothing on the Temenal platform constitutes investment advice, a solicitation to buy or sell any security, or a recommendation of any investment strategy. Expert content represents the professional experience and personal perspective of individual practitioners. It is provided for informational and research purposes only.

Always conduct your own independent research. Do not make investment decisions solely based on content accessed through Temenal. Past performance referenced in expert answers is not indicative of future results. The value of investments may go down as well as up.

Temenal is not a licensed investment adviser, broker-dealer, or financial institution. We do not hold a Capital Markets Services licence or any equivalent licence under applicable securities law.

You must create an account to access the Platform. You agree to: (a) provide accurate and complete information when registering; (b) keep your account credentials secure and not share them with any third party; and (c) notify us immediately at support@temenal.com if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. By registering, you confirm you meet this requirement.

One account per person. You may not create multiple accounts for the purpose of circumventing token limits, accessing free trials more than once, or any other purpose.

Token allocation. Subscribers receive a monthly token allocation as part of their subscription plan (Starter: 30 tokens, Pro: 100 tokens). Tokens reset on each billing anniversary date and do not roll over.

Top-up tokens. Additional tokens may be purchased at USD 0.70 per token. All tokens — including top-ups — expire at the end of the current billing period. Token balances reset to the subscription tier allocation each month and do not roll over.

Token charges. 1 token is charged per answer unlock (retrieval of an existing answer). 10 tokens are charged per commissioned expert answer, charged on delivery of the completed answer, not at the time of submission. If an expert declines to answer, no tokens are charged and the commission is cancelled.

Subscriptions. Subscription fees are billed monthly in advance. Your plan renews automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and no refund is issued for the unused portion of that period.

Refunds. Token purchases and subscriptions are non-refundable except: (a) where required by law; (b) where a technical error on our part results in an incorrect charge; or (c) where a subscription is cancelled within 48 hours of initial purchase and no tokens have been used. Requests for refunds under (b) or (c) must be submitted to support@temenal.com within 30 days of the charge.

You may use Temenal for your own personal research and professional analysis. You may not:

• Reproduce, redistribute, resell, or sublicense any expert content to any third party, whether for commercial gain or otherwise;
• Scrape, crawl, or systematically extract content from the Platform by automated means;
• Share your account credentials or allow any other person to access expert content using your account;
• Use the Platform for any purpose that violates applicable law, including insider trading laws, securities fraud, or market manipulation;
• Attempt to reverse-engineer any expert's identity based on the content of their answers;
• Upload, post, or transmit any content through the Platform that is unlawful, defamatory, or infringes any third-party right.

Expert answers on Temenal are written by individuals based on their professional experience. Temenal does not independently verify the accuracy or completeness of expert answers. We are not responsible for any errors, omissions, or outdated information contained in expert content.

Expert content may reflect the personal views and opinions of the contributor. Coverage of a company on Temenal does not constitute an endorsement of that company, its management, its securities, or any business practice associated with it.

Expert answers may become outdated as market conditions, company circumstances, and regulations change. Always check whether information is still current before relying on it.

Expert Content remains the intellectual property of the contributing expert, subject to the licence granted to Temenal under the Expert Contributor Agreement. The Temenal platform, brand, software, design, and all non-expert content (including AI-generated summaries and search infrastructure) are the intellectual property of Temenal. You may not copy, modify, or reproduce any part of the Platform without our written consent.

Our collection and use of your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms. By using the Platform, you consent to our data practices as described there.

You may close your account at any time by contacting support@temenal.com. Unused subscription tokens are forfeited on account closure. We will process any outstanding unlocked answer credits in accordance with your subscription terms.

We may suspend or terminate your account if: (a) you violate these Terms; (b) we reasonably suspect fraudulent activity; (c) required by law; or (d) you fail to pay subscription fees. We will provide reasonable notice before termination except where immediate action is required to protect the Platform or other users.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Temenal's total liability to you in connection with these Terms or your use of the Platform is limited to the total subscription fees and token purchases made by you in the 12 months preceding the relevant claim.

We are not liable for: (a) any investment losses arising from reliance on expert content; (b) any indirect, consequential, or incidental loss or damage; (c) loss of data, profits, or goodwill; or (d) any failure or interruption of the Platform.

This limitation does not apply to liability arising from our fraud, wilful misconduct, or death or personal injury caused by our negligence.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered subscribers by email at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept the updated Terms, you may close your account before the effective date and receive a pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your current subscription period.

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any dispute arising from these Terms that cannot be resolved informally shall be submitted to binding arbitration. We will always attempt to resolve disputes informally first — contact support@temenal.com before initiating legal proceedings.
